Week 19: Halfway Through This 38-Week Campaign

Dear Colorado Voter,

This 38-week campaign is at its halfway point! So far, I've been to 52 of the 64 counties. See photos by going to the map of CO counties on my website's Home page.

I've participated in two candidate forums. You can watch the June 15th forum at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1l__Ryf8npR_MYYSPVAv9ac9N-an3NRI4/view or by going to my website's News page.

Many supporters have asked for guidance on which Sec of State candidate to vote for in the Democratic primary. I don't have a good answer. I jumped into this race because I wanted a candidate

  • to challenge the unconstitutional vacancy "election" bills that passed in 2025,

  • to write the rules for proportional ranked voting, as CO statute has long demanded, and

  • to minimize threats to election integrity while helping make voting accessible.

I've met many Democrats and Republicans who aren't happy with the other SoS candidates and who thank me for running. I'm pleased to be giving voters a better choice!

Once the primary election is over, only one well-funded candidate will still be in the race. I hope to then be given the consideration that I'm due as an election expert. You can help by spreading the word about my candidacy, co-hosting an event for me, and encouraging people to endorse me or support my campaign financially. Unfortunately, money raised is often seen as a proxy for viability. I've only raised about 4% of my voluntary spending limit and about 10% of what each of the two Democrats have raised.

In an effort to encourage visible support from lots of Coloradans and to nudge the campaign team to ask people for money, we've got two modest fundraising goals in conjunction with Colorado becoming the 38th state on August 1, 1876:

  • 81 contributions of $8.01 from new donors by 8/1/26

  • 38 contributions of $38 by 8/1/26

Of course, the campaign would happily accept other amounts – say, $81 in honor of Colorado Day (8/1) or $150 in honor of Colorado's sesquicentennial (150th birthday) or $250 in honor of the U.S.'s 250th birthday or $2900, the maximum amount that the campaign can accept from any one individual. Just click the Donate button below to make your donation now.

I'm thinking about holding or attending a public Election Watch Party on the evening of June 30th, even though I'm not on the ballot. If I do, I'll post the event on the campaign website!

With enthusiasm and purpose,

Celeste
